It’s fair to say everybody enjoys a holiday, whether it’s time off from work, education or even a quiet break away from the children. Whilst the Summer holidays are a popular choice to get away, there are plenty of reasons why going away in Autumn and Winter are just as nice.

If you’re looking to save money, Autumn is one of the cheapest times of year to enjoy a holiday due to people being back to work and education. As well as travel being cheaper in Autumn, you’ll find excursions and attractions offer a lower price than in the Summer months, meaning you can do more for less!

Milder Weather

Many choose to go away in Summer to top up the tan. However, not everyone can deal with the heat of the Summer sun. Taking a break in Autumn or Winter means temperatures are cooler, meaning you can get out and about without the constant topping up of sun cream! If the weather does get a bit chilly, however, you don't need to worry. All of our vans are insulated, and have onboard heating systems to keep you toasty!

Quieter Destinations

By going away during the low season, you’ll miss out on the busy nature of popular destinations and attractions - meaning fewer queues and easier to explore. Another advantage to holidaying in the quieter months is that you’ll get to take in the culture of your location, as local residents will be more welcoming and may even offer you some expert local knowledge.

Events & Traditions

Just because places aren’t as busy, it doesn’t mean there isn’t a wide range of things going on. With Halloween and Bonfire Night in the middle of Autumn, many locations and attractions host celebrations for both, and sometimes even have their own seasonal traditions to experience!

It goes without saying, but Autumn and Winter are some of the most picturesque times of the year! For avid photographers, Autumn offers a fantastic colour palette of orange and yellow, whilst Winter can (with a bit of luck) offer glistening blankets of snow!
