Top 3 Hidden Treasures of the South West
You may be a seasoned camper that has trawled the entire South West or you could be ready to set off on your first ever camping trip with all the best gear but no idea about where to go! Fear not, we have found some of the best places to explore before summer comes to an end.
Coryton Cove Beach, South Devon
Historically called 'Gentleman's Cove' due to the privacy it offers, this is described as one of South Devon's "secluded little treasures". 0.5 miles from Dawlish's famous beach, it means you can still enjoy all the amenities a traditional seaside town has to offer, whilst making the most of this private haven. More information can be found on the Visit South Devon website.
East Dart Waterfall, Dartmoor
Just one of many, many wonders Dartmoor has to offer. However, this happens to be one of the lesser known ones, so for those up for a medium difficulty walk, you will find this beautiful waterfall, amongst other things, along the way. Find the route and tips from someone who has done this very walk here.
Designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, Calstock village is well worth a visit if you're heading down into Cornwall. It is especially satisfying for those who like a bit of history attached to their sightseeing. Find out all you need to know before checking out this AONB for yourselves here.
