The Best Camping Snacks
We all know one of the most important things about camping is planning the food you're going to eat. Simplicity is key and maintaining a healthy balanced diet is sometimes difficult, but we have found some of the easiest and tastiest recipes for you to try.
Oat cake-bars: this can be done the night before you set off. Mix together oats, bananas, dried fruit of your choice and chocolate chips. Separate into squares, rectangles, circles, whatever takes your fancy. Leave in the fridge over night and they'll be ready to take with you in the morning.
Banana sandwiches: some can't stand them, some can't live without them and some have never tried them! A chopped or mushed banana on any type of bread, pitta or baguette is always a tasty, healthy snack and a very good energy boost.
Watermelon: this is good at anytime, especially to keep you hydrated on those warmer summer days.
Overnight oats: simply layer porridge oats, yogurt and fruit in a bowl, leave overnight outside or in a travel fridge (depending on what season you're out camping) and enjoy in the morning.
Dried fruit mix: choose all your favourite nuts and dried fruits and mix together with some chocolate chips as a pick-me-up.
