Winter is not an obvious time to be talking about surfing – unless you live in Devon or Cornwall – in which case you’ll know it’s the best time to avoid the ‘hordes on boards’ (cheers for that Guardian Travel!)
Those amongst you who are keen surfers will know that the best time of year to go surfing is actually the autumn – killer waves, milder conditions and less (possibly no) crowds.
For those of you not jammy enough to live a drive away from a good surfing beach, we know that it’s a big pull for people wanting to travel to this part of the world. There are so many amazing surf schools, so it doesn’t matter if you’re The Duke or a total dud, Devon and Cornwall host some of the best beaches in the UK – so give it a go!
South West Camper Hire know that attempting to stand up on a board for the first time, whilst getting smacked in the face by waves, and or riding the most awesome A-Frame as a seasoned pro, is pure memory making stuff. Partaking in adventurous activities that make lasting memories is at the core of what encouraged our explorers to do...so...for those of you wanting a memory keepsake from your time in the South West, we are delighted to be launching our series of mini surf boards that you can have as a visual reminder of the most awesome holiday you ever had (that’s unless we decide to keep them all to ourselves…or you’ve been to Vegas!)
